Description:
The candidate must posses extensive hands on experience of core Java, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JSP/Servlets, Java design patterns, Web services and should be knowledgeable on at least one major database technology preferably MS SQL and front end presentation technologies.
The candidate must have experience of managing a team by providing them the necessary guidance, coaching and direction to deliver high quality software solutions.
Provide technical input and guidance to technical proposals for new opportunities as well as design cost effective system and application architecture which will achieve the required availability and capacity to support the Asset.
Essential Skills:
- Provide leadership in all phases of software development to produce technical architecture designs and documentation to be used by the development team/s.
- Deliver strong enterprise architecture skills, especially in application and technical architecture concepts and best practices
- Communicate an in-depth understanding of latest technology (e.g. web services, XML/XSLT, etc.) and ability to match business requirements with the best technical solution
- Strong SQL and Relational Database experience
- Extensive experience with Java and J2EE technologies (e.g. Servlets, JSP, Portlets, JSF, Hibernate, Spring, Struts, Tiles, JBPM)
- Web Services and XML/JSON Experience
- Design patterns knowledge/experience
Required Years of Experience: 8 years (Relevant Experience)
Desired Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle high pressure situations
- Expert knowledge of J2EE technologies
- Knowledge of all of the following Java Development frameworks (J2EE, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JSR and SQL)
- Experience leading a team of at least five developers.
- Experience of working with remote teams
- Engaging personality and ability to build customer relationships
- Technical background/degree
