Description:

We are currently looking for a 5+ years experienced Network Support Specialist for servicing the technology requirements of a multi-national organization in Tokyo, Japan. The successful candidate for this role will work as part of IT Operations team to provide technical support for:

• Installing/Configuring/troubleshooting Network infrastructure
• Design/Build/Test/Implement new network facilities based on projects and the existing environment
• Operate and Improve the network related facilities and systems
• Analyze and improve network performance, quality measurement assessment
• Refresh and research to introduce the new technology
• Escalate problems to the appropriate group and work together with each group to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Record, track and resolve problems through incident/problem Mgmt system. Interface between business users and development/production groups regarding the problems.
• Create & maintain documentation & procedures.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor degree with 5+ years experience on supporting medium to large scale Network infrastructure
• Knowledge and hands-on skills on Networking technologies (General Data Communications, Network devises, Network Securities, Network Control and Management)
• Experience on working with Router and Switches like Cisco Router 2500/2600/3600/4000/7000, Catalyst Switch 5509/6509/3750/2900 series, VPN Concentrator AS5520 etc.
• Experience on routing protocols such as RIP1/2, IGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP, BGP
• Experience on data connectivity such as Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, VLANs, STP, VTP, Leased Lines, Frame Relay, ISDN, DDR, HSRP, TCP/IP
• Experience on using application Protocols such as DNS, WINS, DHCP, NAT, PAT, FTP, TELNET, SSH, TFTP, SNMP, SMTP, HTTP
• Experience in producing detailed design and topology diagram
• Experience in network technologies and security architecture designs
• Experience in firewall and IDS/IPS design and implementation
• Ability to solve problems quickly and to automate and improve processes
• Documentation skills (English & Japanese).
• Business level Japanese and English proficiency

Desired Skills:

• Experience on installing/configuring/troubleshooting Nortel PBX
• Cisco certification CCNP,CCDP etc would be preferred
• Knowledge and skills on implementing Cisco, Avaya VoIP solutions
