Job Description:

We are inviting applications for the position of “Recruitment Consultant” at Nexus Corporation, Mumbai office. As part of the core business team at Nexus, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Generating a list of prospective clients for contract staffing and permanent placement offerings
  • Visiting clients on a regular basis to understand their current and future recruitment needs
  • Developing a set of clients in your domain(s) of expertise
  • Pre-screening candidates who apply to jobs via various media, entering their data into the recruitment database and keeping it up-to-date on an everyday basis
  • Increasing the candidate pool by scouting on career sites, referrals from existing candidates, etc.
  • Meeting with candidates to understand if they are a fit for the role they have applied for or for any other roles that may be available
  • Sending out resumes of qualified candidates to clients and following up with clients to set up interviews; preparing candidates for interviews
  • Following up with the client and candidate after each interview to debrief each party
  • Contract negotiations, offer letter generations, post-recruitment follow ups, etc.
  • Attending industry-specific seminars, networking events to generate leads

Required Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

  • A flair for meeting people, establishing rapport and building long term relationships
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in Sales out of which ideally at least 1-2 years should have been in the recruitment industry
  • Previous experience of closing deals single-handedly
  • Strong communication skills
  • Perseverance, honesty and an analytical bent-of-mind
  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Sales/Marketing or Human Resources
  • Japanese language skills will be an added advantage
